TRACY DAVIS, 38 Consultant from Brentwood, Essex Medical age 28 Skin age 43 Brain age matureTRACY Davis is the mother of two teenage sons who started her own consultancy business a year ago. "Since then my life has become a lot more hectic," she says. "I have to make an effort to eat regularly. I love pasta and eats lots of fresh fruit salads. "I read that red wine is good for you so I use it as an excuse to drink a few glasses a week. My father smoked a lot, so I've never been tempted to start. I make a lot of effort to look after my skin. I use a moisturiser with sunscreen." After carrying out his own Bio-Regen test using blood screening and ultrasound scanning, Dr Rajendra Sharma, director of the famous Hale Clinic in London, gave Tracy a medical age of 28. He says: "Tracy's arteries were in excellent condition. She does have an iron deficiency which could be related to poor absorption from normal food sources, or stress. "Eating lots of dark green vegetables can help improve iron levels. Tracy could also include more oily fish in her diet or take a fish oil supplement." Dermatologist Dr Patrick Bowler assesses skin age with a UV camera - his picture above right shows the true state of her skin. He says: "Tracy is lucky. She has a Mediterranean skin type that tans well without burning and although she's sunbathed over the years, the damage isn't too obvious." Psychologist David Brookes says of her brain age: "Tracy is well balanced but is a little reluctant to take on lifestyle changes like learning a new skill." KATE SMILES, 28 Credit controller from Southend Medical age 28 Skin age 33 Brain age young MARRIED Kate Smiles says: "I do make the effort to eat healthily although I eat lots of chocolate. "I eat masses of fresh fruit and vegetables and only drink socially. I don't smoke and go to the gym twice a week. "I love the sun and used to have a lot of sunbed treatments. My skin care routine is minimal." Dr Sharma says: "Kate has a slight decrease in the body's natural antioxidant levels. She should watch her toxin levels as there are signs of very mild liver damage." Dr Bowler says: "She should use a factor 15 sun protection cream and daily moisturiser." Mr Brookes says: "Kate is outgoing and sociable and reacts well to stress." NIKKI DAVIS, 36 Hairdresser from Slough, Berks. Medical age 39 Skin age 37 Brain age young NIKKI Davis, who has daughters aged six and eight, says her high metabolic rate helps her to keep slim. "I'm not a vegetarian, but I prefer fish to meat," she says. "I get easily stressed because I try to do too many things. "I take supplements regularly - Vitamin C, calcium and evening primrose to help keep my skin healthy and improve mood swings. "As a hairdresser, I've always been interested in looking good - I have facials fairly regularly and drink lots of water." Dr Sharma says: "Nikki shows signs of mild liver damage. This isn't serious and could be traced back to having a few units of alcohol the night before the test. Lots of water will help flush out toxins and eating more organic foods will ease the pressure on the liver. Nikki also had slightly low selenium levels - potatoes and nuts are good natural sources." Dr Bowler says: "Nikki has done the right thing by staying out of the sun. She has very fair and slightly sensitive skin. She should keep up her skin care protection in the sun and include a moisturiser with good UVA protection." Mr Brookes says: "The lower the score the better with this quiz, and Nikki's rating shows that she is outgoing and adaptable. "She is more likely than others to react positively to any changes in her looks and is also open to new ideas." HELEN HAVIS, 25 Dancing teacher from Isle of Wight Medical age 25 Skin age 32 Brain age mature HELEN, who also teaches singing, lives with her husband and two-year-old daughter. She says: "My diet is completely erratic. I don't like fruit and veg and the only protein I eat is chicken in curry sauce. I tend to fill up on chocolate and crisps. "I've never smoked, don't drink and I do up to 10 hours of dancing a week. My skin is fairly dry and after being badly burnt I stay out of the sun." Dr Sharma says: "Other than slightly below-average iron levels, Helen's results were good. The iron deficiency could be due to poor diet". Dr Bowler says: "Helen is naturally fair with freckles and this makes her skin particularly sensitive to the sun. "She should consider a sunblock in the summer to prevent premature wrinkles. Mr Brookes says: "Helen is obviously an upbeat person and thinks before she acts." NOW FIND OUT YOUR REAL AGE YOU can assess your own medical, skin and brain ages by trying out our simple tests.
