Kreidler approves sale of KPS to Group Health
A proposed $19 million sale of KPS Health Plans of Bremerton out of receivership to Group Health Cooperative will move forward, according to state Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler. The commissioner took control of the financially troubled nonprofit health insurer in 1999.

Larson is widely recognized for his work with aging, dementia and technology assessment. Previously, he served as medical director for the University of Washington Medical Center. Larson graduated from Harvard Medical School and later earned his master's degree in public health. He also serves as a commissioner on the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and as a regent with American College of Physicians.
